Khankhana, in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district of Punjab, is a village with a history that reaches far beyond its geographical boundaries. The village’s name is traditionally associated with Abdur Rahim Khan-i-Khanan, one of the most distinguished figures of the Mughal era. A celebrated general, statesman, scholar, poet and patron of the arts, Abdur Rahim served Emperor Akbar and became known as Khan-i-Khanan : “Khan of Khans.”
About Khankhana
The story of Khankhana did not end with its historic namesake. Over generations, our village became home to remarkable individuals whose courage, service, education, achievements, and contributions have added to its reputation and significance. Their journeys-across fields and frontiers-reflect the enduring spirit and values of our heritage.
